MY SHORT AUTOBIOGRAPHY . NAME: IJAR JOHN OBOK; FORM NO: F2407481; FACULTY: SCIENCE; DEPT: PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY; LEVEL: ND1; FULL-TIME (FT) SECTION: 2024/2025

My name is IJAR JOHN OBOK, born and raised in wanikade, north ukelle, yala Local Government, Cross river state, Nigeria. Currently hailing in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. 

I was born on the 7th June, 2001 into the family of Chief Mr & Mrs Benedict Ijar. 

Religion: christainity

I started my elementary education in 2006 at the age of 5yrs in uzenyi public school, wanikade. But I stopped in primary 4 due to government Long strike which might delayed me. So, I immediately enrolled in primary 5 at The Lutheran nursery and primary school, barracks, wanikade. I graduated from the primary school in 2013.

After I graduated from the primary school, I enrolled into JSS 1 in Lutheran secondary school in the year 2014. During all the activities in the school, i became popular and i was elected as the Senior Boy Prefect (Head Boy) in SS2 due to my good behaviours and best performance in every activity and examinations. Back in JSS 3, I was given a Biology text book as an award of excellent performance.

 As a Head Boy, I faced a lot of challenges by leading and making sure that all the activities in the school were well organized and performed. I was loved and cherished by all the teachers. 

My ternue was successful conducted with the help of my fellowed prefects. The ternue was marked with the accreditation of WAEC centre in the school and installment of laboratory equipment. We were the first set to wrote WAEC in the school and third set to graduate in the year 2020. The WAEC was successful and I got excellent credits in all the 9 subjects (with 4As, 4Bs and 1C) 

I graduated from secondary school at the age of 18yrs old. As a grown up person, I had to hustle and gather money to further my education. So, I traveled to Lagos in 2021 for the hustle. I worked in Lagos from 2021 to 2022. 

 In 2023, i wrote my first UTME which I scored 229 But the scored could not got me admitted into University of Ibadan (UI) to study Medicine and surgery, then, i applied for The polytechnic, Ibadan to study pharmaceutical technology as an alternative to Medicine & Surgery. The admission was given to me but I wasn't pleased with the course at that time. So, I wrote another UTME in 2024, unfortunately, I got 224, I was so heart broken and sad for the score reduction instead of increasing. 

I asked myself that, since 229 couldn't got me admitted into my dreamed course " Medicine & surgery", how would I gain admission with 224 that was even lower? So, i decided to apply for The polytechnic Ibadan at the second time to study my previous admitted course "Pharmaceutical technology". Luckily, I was admitted again. I was admitted on the 28th July, 2024.
